Aftercare is provided to assist working parents, at a monthly rate. Children may NOT be left at the school without booking them into Aftercare. Children are to be collected by no later than 5.30pm from Aftercare.
Conditions for Admission of Learners
On admission, the official contract, indemnity and enrolment forms must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian. Parents must also endorse the Christian ethos of the School.
Parents must produce the following documents on registration:
- Birth certificate
- Clinic/immunization card
- Current report card
Learners at St Marks Community School are taught in English, except for additional Language classes (Isixhosa and Afrikaans). It is therefore a strong recommendation that learners wishing to enrol at the school are fluent in English.

School Reports and Examinations
Tests are set throughout the year with formal examinations being written only twice a year during the second and fourth terms. The teachers will prepare reports at the end of each term. No formal examinations are written by the Junior Primary learners (Grades R-3) as their work is evaluated daily. Reports are issued at the end of each term.
We have a fully stocked tuckshop that sells sandwiches, pies, muffins, and much more. The tuckshop opens at first and second break each school day. Tuck menu’s will be issued to learners on request.
